Thanks, Guys

No Tigers fan ever expected what happened this year. It was fun to watch the whole way (save for maybe that meltdown at the end of the season), even if they aren't World Champions. They're American League Champions, they eliminated the Yankees. From beginning to end, they did a lot better than anyone thought they would. Thanks, guys. See you next April. Posted by Picasa

I must give props to the Tigers for kicking the univerally-reviled Yankees in the pants. If it wasn't for the inexperienced pitchers, this series would have been the other way around. The Tigers did Detroit and the entire AL proud. But, it certainly feels good to inaugurate the new Busch Stadium with a WS championship (won at home!). It brings back the fond memories of nail-biting, edge-of-the-seat experience that was the 1982 WS. I totally expected to go back to Detroit (against Rogers) and push this to game 7. Thanks for a fun rivalry, Jeff.
