LOVE it! - Monica
I love how they worked in all of the sketch lines.
I'd love to read an explanation of why you chose this and what it means to you. But only if you want to:)
I like Hess' explanation on his site about the truth about ourselves being something other than others', and even our own, perceptions. There's something in the piece about true human frailty underneath our and others' expectations that I connected with, even aside from Hess' own words. To me, the guy has figured out that he's not yet who he thinks he is; that he's mortal. It probably sounds depressing and a little alarming (my brother asked me if I'm going through an emo phase), but it's not about that. The guy has simply realized something about himself; about his true place in the world.I don't think I'm explaining this very well.
I like it.
